Venezuela Video

Many conflicts are shown in the Venezuela Rising video. One being an external conflict which is society versus the government, and another being an internal conflict amongst themsleves. The protesters disagree with the government. The brutality shown and the killings of innocent people have ignited a flame that the people have had. They disagree and want to be heard. The video highlights loss along with hypocrisy. The loss of life is spread through the whole country. The civilians have also loss security. They feel as if they are unsafe and cannot walk around their community without feeling threatened. In the video they state something about it feeling like war right outside their house. These innocent people should not have to feel this way.

Another topic in the video is hipocrisy. It is shown throughout the society because the ones being feared are the ones who are supposed to protect us. This shows a big conflict because this is not supposed to be this way. In the video a man says,
"There's no security in this country, no police, no protection"
This is significant because it is coming from someone who lives there and it witnessing it first hand. They feel unsafe and worried for their life. The overall conflict of the story is society versus government, and the fact that the society and civilians feel unsafe due to the government's actions and decisions. The corrupt government has affected the lives of the innocent individuals and families.
